Job Title: NDT Inspector / Senior NDT Inspector

We are seeking an experienced NDT Inspector / Senior NDT Inspector to join our team as a Contractor within our Pipeline Group. The successful candidate will be based at our facility in Old Kilpatrick, Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and coordinate NDT inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Carry out inspections on the shop floor as required, utilizing expertise in Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) and other NDT methods.
  • Coordinate day-to-day requirements for inspection, including working with GWDC staff and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of examinations.
  • Interface with NDT subcontractors to ensure all examinations are completed to the highest standard.
  • Review and approve reports by NDT subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Supervise NDT inspections carried out by Level 1 and 2 NDT Inspectors, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist in the AUT Validation process for project work, ensuring seamless integration with existing procedures.
  • Review and validate subcontractor procedures for approval by Company Level 3, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Support NDT developments and assist with practical aspects of procedure development for new techniques, driving innovation and improvement within the team.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Pipeline Girthweld inspection using AUT is preferred.
