Manufacturing Technical Illustrator

At Copello, we are seeking a skilled Technical Illustrator to join our team. As a Technical Illustrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our technical authors in the preparation, generation, and maintenance of product and system manuals for Surveillance Systems products and other publications.
Key Responsibilities:- Create and maintain technical, illustrative, and systems drawings to support technical manuals, including circuit diagrams, flowcharts, exploded views, and dimensional drawings.
- Develop and maintain 3D colour solid models, system diagrams, and other illustrations supporting sales bids.
- Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and implement agreed templates to enhance bid presentations and projects to a consistently high standard of brand image.
- Participate in the creation of high-quality bid responses to meet customer-imposed deadlines, including collation, editing, and generation of both paper and electronic versions.
- Meet contractual requirements regarding content, security, and unit operating procedures.
- Supervise the work of junior authors or trainees assigned to you from time to time.
- Liaise with MicroConcepts (CAD package provider) as required.
- Administer the 'Vault' MicroConcepts storage facility as required.
- Proficiency in illustration tools such as AutoCAD, CorelDraw, and Acrobat, as well as word processing packages like Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility in approach and ability to prioritise and multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills, able to extract information from engineers and sales personnel to create or modify drawings and edit/author documents successfully.
- Familiarity with mechanical assembly and installation techniques.
