Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant General Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a key member of our medical department, you will be responsible for contributing to the running of a 32-bed general medical and infectious diseases inpatient ward, Ward A31, and will also contribute to the acute medical receiving rota.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the running of a 32-bed general medical and infectious diseases inpatient ward, Ward A31
- Contribute to the acute medical receiving rota
- Cover inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases referrals
- Contribute to the running of the OPAT service
- Scope to take on work in the HIV clinic or the TB clinic
Requirements
- Full GMC registration and a licence to practise
- Membership of the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent
- Registered with the General Medical Council specialist register or within 6 months of the anticipated award of a certificate of completion of training (CCT)
- Portfolio pathway applicants must be entered onto the GMC Specialist Register at time of application
- Evidence of recent continued academic and professional development
- Excellent communication, listening and organisational skills
