Job Overview

Carbon60 is seeking a highly skilled WTG Commissioning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective commissioning of wind turbines at our offshore wind farms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the commissioning of wind turbines at pre-assembly yards, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and verified in accordance with company and client policies and procedures.
  • Assist site activities to ensure safe and effective use of reporting documentation, and provide technical support to ensure commissioning procedures are followed and completed.
  • Interface with contractors and joint venture partners to ensure commissioning scopes are completed offshore.

Requirements

  • Experience working in an electrical engineering environment, with a strong understanding of low voltage and high voltage plant/equipment, including HV cables, 66kV switchgear, and wind turbine systems.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of offshore wind farm construction, commissioning, and operations in the UK or similar industrial sectors.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced commissioning environment and manage associated tasks effectively.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Full GWOs.
  • Medical and Chester Step.
  • A relevant technical education or apprenticeship in electrical engineering or a similar field.
