Responsibilities:- Conduct regular rounds to monitor the health and safety of our residents throughout the night.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, including those for palliative and dementia care.
- Document residents' medical histories and maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans, particularly for those with dementia needs.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care and support, with a focus on palliative care and dementia support.
- Collaborate with daytime nursing staff to ensure continuity of care, especially for residents with complex needs.
- Communicate effectively with residents and their families to address any concerns or provide updates on their condition, with empathy and understanding for those in need of palliative or dementia care.
- Registered Nurse qualification (RGN or RMN) and valid UK NMC Pin.
- Experience in elderly care or nursing home settings, with a focus on palliative and dementia care.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing care plans, especially for residents with dementia needs.
- Strong medication administration skills, including the specialized requirements for palliative and dementia care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, particularly important when providing support for families of residents with dementia or palliative care needs.
