About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant/Management Accountant to join our team at Purple Lime Accountancy. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing business plans and forecasts, and ensuring statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing lead accounting and finance input
  • Prepare business plans and forecasts using Excel and/or dedicated forecasting software
  • Ensure statutory compliance, including annual accounts, taxation, and company secretarial
  • Conduct pre-year end checks with clients to identify risks and opportunities
  • Identify tax efficient planning opportunities for clients and deliver through to completion
  • Produce monthly management information, tailored to client requirements
  • Attend client board meetings to present and review financial performance
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts periodically and maintain clear supporting schedules
  • Assist clients with training and consultancy advice
  • Identify potential opportunities for providing additional services to existing clients
  • Oversee Assistant Accountants with their responsibilities and support their personal development plans
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/ICAEW)
  • Experience in preparing management and year-end statutory accounts
  • Liaising with clients on the results
  • Desire to further their career in accountancy/finance
  • Evidence of technical aptitude required to perform the role
  • Attitude required to add value to and succeed within our team
