Job Title: Principal Consultant - Project Controls & Performance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Consultant to join our Programme Advisory team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and optimization of Project Management Office (PMO) and controls & performance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of PMO and controls & performance strategies.
  • Deliver workshops in a mix of virtual and face-to-face environments with client representatives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the Programme Advisory team.
  • Drive key activities within the Programme Advisory team, including the internal development of transformation products and approaches.

Requirements:

  1. Experienced professional (3-5 years' experience in Project Controls) with relevant industry experience (Master's degree or equivalent experience desirable).
  2. Experience of working on major capital projects/programmes covering one or more roles within the PMO/controls & performance environment (schedule, cost, risk, change or performance reporting) in the infrastructure sector (Defense, Nuclear, Rail, Airport, Highways, Utilities) or similar.
  3. Familiarity with capability/maturity assessments across the capital delivery businesses, PMO, controls & performance or a specific function.
  4. Familiarity with supporting the development of controls & performance integrated processes and digital solutions used to create a 'one version of the truth' and enable client leadership teams to make informed decision making based on actionable intelligence.
  5. Experience with writing/presenting reports and ability to navigate through complex stakeholder environments and engage (as required) with C-suite level, executive client teams.
  6. Computer literacy in Office 365 applications, diagramming tools such as Visio, online whiteboarding tools such as Miro, team collaboration tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams or specialist controls & performance software tools such as Oracle Primavera, PRISM, Power BI or similar.
  7. Experience of business transformation programmes and change management would be advantageous.
  8. Understanding of strategy and set-up of target operating models and organisational design in the context of capital infrastructure delivery businesses, integrated controls & performance functions or PMO set-ups would be advantageous.
  9. Ability to work with others, both internally and externally, to achieve project and/or business goals.
  10. Able to use an appropriate mix of analysis, intuition and judgement to determine the most appropriate solution.
