Associate Director of Development Planning

GreenJobs Ltd is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Development Planning to join our team. As a key member of our Planning Division, you will play a crucial role in planning and overseeing projects, while also serving as an ambassador for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development by nurturing existing client relationships and actively pursuing new opportunities.
  • Help develop the team's core competencies and assist the Regional Director in daily team management.
  • Take on direct line management responsibilities as assigned, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Provide technical input into projects and bids, leveraging knowledge to identify new opportunities.
  • Manage the delivery of complex planning submissions and appeals, including acting as an expert witness.
  • Lead strategic planning research, policy development, and assessments of development potential.
  • Provide senior leadership within the Planning Division, ensuring adherence to professional standards and continuous development.

Requirements:

  • A chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in planning and development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
