About the Role

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join our dedicated team in the Bridgwater area, working with children and young people who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support school-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs in a SEND school setting.
  • Work alongside Class Teachers and other support staff to provide a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Build positive relationships with children and young people, and demonstrate a commitment to their well-being.
  • Be flexible and proactive, with a strong team ethos.
  • Understand the importance of keeping children and young people safe, and be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
Requirements
  • Recent experience supporting children or adults with additional needs.
  • Compassion, understanding, and a caring approach.
  • Flexibility, proactivity, and a strong team ethos.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and young people.
  • Understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant and the importance of their contribution to the school community.
