Job Title: SEN Tutor

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEN Tutor to deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to young people who are not attending school.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team. As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for creating, planning, and delivering 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost engagement and attainment levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to meet the needs of individual pupils
  • Develop and implement effective learning plans to support pupils' academic and personal growth
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, making adjustments to learning plans as needed
  • Work closely with parents and carers to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent experience
  • 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable)
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Two professional child-related references that cover the last two years
