Job Summary

We are seeking an Environmental Sustainability Coordinator to support our business in developing and implementing strategies and programs that promote environmental sustainability. As a key member of our team, you will have the autonomy to shape our approach to sustainability and contribute to our mission to reduce our environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement environmental strategies, policies, and action plans to reduce our carbon footprint and promote sustainability
  2. Lead sustainable procurement initiatives for all goods and services, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations
  3. Coordinate pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation, and renewable energy programs
  4. Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations
  5. Represent DO & CO in environmental issues, liaising with local authorities, public bodies, and regulatory agencies
  6. Audit and analyze environmental performance, reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  7. Direct and supervise impact assessments to identify, evaluate, and reduce environmental risks and financial costs
  8. Promote awareness of emerging environmental issues across the business, implementing best practices in corporate, ethical, and social responsibility
  9. Develop and implement environmental management systems to improve our impact on the environment

Requirements

  1. Demonstrable experience in sustainability and environmental management
  2. Good understanding of major sustainability disclosure frameworks (such as GRI, SASB, CDP, Ecovadis)
  3. ISO 14001 certification
  4. Experience in supporting projects to improve environmental and social supply chain impacts
  5. Self-motivation, resilience, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
  6. Meticulous attention to detail and precise record-keeping skills
  7. Ability to influence different departments to suggest, implement, and track more efficient processes
  8. Clear and engaging communication skills, with strong written and verbal English
  9. Experience working with diverse functions and people to deliver projects on time with high quality
