Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Health Visitor to join our Healthy Together teams in Leicester City. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering the Healthy Child Programme and our ambitious vision.

Our teams are committed to delivering the best possible care for children and their families. We offer a range of services to meet the varying needs of our service users, and we are looking for someone who is comfortable with change and flexible in their approach.

Main Duties
  • Deliver evidence-based healthcare, maintaining a high standard of professional practice.
  • Lead and deliver the Healthy Child Programme within a multi-agency team setting.
  • Be responsible for the identification, assessment, and management of health care needs of individuals, families, groups, and communities within a defined caseload.
  • Provide delegated management responsibility to the Healthy Child Programme Practitioners and Healthy Child Programme Nurses.
  • Mentor pre and post-registration students, and new members of staff as required.

You must have a current NMC registration in any branch of nursing and a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) Health Visitor registration. A full driving license that allows you to drive in the UK and the use of a car for this role are also required.
