Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Navartis Ltd, a specialist recruitment company supplying technical and management professionals to the global Transportation, Civil Engineering & Utility industries.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing new products, leading design projects from specification to production, and supporting the production of existing product portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and development of new products
  • Lead design projects from specification to production
  • Support production of existing product portfolios
  • 3D modelling using CAD and creating engineering drawings
  • Support creation of standard operating instructions, production engineering design, jig and fixture design
  • Draft and develop technical documentation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide factory and field technical support
Requirements:
  • Competence in 3D CAD for modelling and drafting
  • Ability to generate innovative design solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical expertise in mechanical engineering
  • Ability to complete mechanical analysis to a high standard
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of welded fabrication design and castings
  • Knowledge of composite materials
