As a Supply Planner located at our Stafford site, your role will involve formulating and executing feasible production plans that align with customer demands and contractual commitments.

This position requires you to have resided in the UK for the past five years and to obtain security clearance without any restrictions that would hinder your ability to perform the role. If clearance is not obtained or is granted with limitations that affect your duties, any conditional offer may be rescinded. The process for obtaining SC security clearance can be extensive, and we reserve the right to withdraw any conditional offer if the necessary clearance is not achieved within a specified timeframe.
This role is site-based and necessitates full attendance on location.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Participating in Master Production Schedule meetings to develop a viable production plan that meets customer requirements while considering resource and technical constraints.
- Collaborating with the production Team Leader to adjust production plans in response to customer needs.
- Regularly reviewing production plans to ensure progress aligns with expectations.
- Reporting to the Sales & Operational Planning Manager when production targets cannot be met, particularly when customer service may be compromised.
- Engaging with commercial teams to communicate any delivery issues affecting customer satisfaction.
- Utilizing the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to manage Availability to Promise (ATP) for sales orders, generate production orders, and ensure compliance with DE&S Deca procedures.
- Employing ERP for planning aspects of item creation, including establishing new task routings, forecasting, and managing order adjustments.
- Maintaining a record of any production service interruptions or restrictions.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of team standards, focusing on best practices and efficiency.
- Ensuring personal development plans are actively maintained and pursued.
- Providing ad hoc support to the line manager as required.
- Complying with Health and Safety regulations through safe working practices and Risk Assessments.
- Adhering to all relevant business processes.
- Generating and maintaining Business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and On Time in Full (OTIF) reports on a weekly/monthly basis, demonstrating compliance to relevant auditors as necessary.
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate the following essential criteria:
- Proficiency in Excel for reporting purposes.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software systems, such as Baan.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of technical, equipment, and spare parts issues related to production challenges.
