About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digitiser to join our team at the Natural History Museum. As a key member of our Digitisation Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our work within the Digital, Data and Informatics Theme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Digitise specimens to support the work of the wider Digitisation Team, including photography, transcription, georeferencing, and databasing.
  • Trialling new collection digitisation workflow methods and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Recording accurate information about digitisation workflows for project/evaluation and monitoring.
  • Sharing digitisation best practices with internal stakeholders and project partners via reports, posters, and presentations.
  • Supporting curators, researchers, and other team members in publishing specimen datasets and research papers.
  • Contributing to the team's wider communication and social media content.
