This role offers a chance to acquire and enhance skills aimed at assisting individuals in overcoming addiction and fostering a fulfilling life.

As a Junior Recovery Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our clients while gaining insight into how the Psychosocial Interventions Team facilitates significant transformation and resilience.

The Forward Trust operates as a social enterprise focused on empowering individuals to break free from the cycles of crime and addiction, enabling them to progress in their lives.

Our initiatives have aided countless individuals in making constructive changes and establishing meaningful lives characterized by employment, relationships, and community engagement.

In this position, you will assist the team in delivering brief interventions, offering harm reduction guidance, and supporting referrals to various departments we collaborate with.

Your responsibilities will include developing personalized care plans based on client assessments and learning to create risk management strategies.

You will contribute to the ongoing care needs of clients and facilitate safe transitions into community support upon their release.

This role includes mandatory training courses covering topics such as Professional Boundaries, Facilitation Skills, Trauma-Informed Care, and Substance Misuse.

Key Qualifications:
• A genuine interest or background in substance use and recovery
• A commitment to ongoing training and professional growth
• Proficiency in IT applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• A strong desire to support transformative change and empower individuals
• A full UK driving license is preferred due to location considerations.
