About the Role

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our Data Engineering team at Quilter plc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping the future roadmap of our Data Platform, driving innovation, and delivering high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of framework enhancements to optimize the Data Platform for current and future usage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver data solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Contribute to the development of a standard data solution methodology to be implemented across the organization.
  • Participate in backlog prioritization, providing technical input and risk assessment to inform business decisions.
  • Act as a technical lead for releases, ensuring quality, best practices, and continuous improvements drive decisions.

Requirements:

  • Extensive technical knowledge in key areas such as Azure Data Services, Spark, and Python.
  • Experience with data pipelines, DevOps, and integration design and delivery.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization tools, including Tableau, QlikView, Power BI, and Business Objects.
  • Ability to develop analytical use cases using Spark programming in Python and other languages.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
