We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Consult. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct thorough fault diagnosis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Implement improvements to mechanical systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to maintain a safe and reliable working environment.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of all mechanical equipment on site.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, including UK and company standards, biosecurity, and GMP procedures.
- Recognized training to City & Guilds standard or NVQ Level 3 in engineering.
- Demonstrable experience in mechanical installation and fault finding.
- Adequate IT skills.
- Experience of working with steam plant and an understanding of pressure systems regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work on a 24/7 on-call rota.
- Proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
- Electrical safe isolation and basic fault finding.
- Mechanical engineer with a good knowledge of chiller plant, centrifugal pumps, and chilled water systems.
- Ability to analyze P&ID's, wiring diagrams, and carry out fault finding diagnosis.
