Role Responsibilities:

We are seeking specialists who can engage with secondary-aged students in the Dorset region. As an Educational Support Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to conduct tailored educational sessions aimed at enhancing students' confidence and helping them achieve the necessary qualifications for further academic pursuits.

Unlike traditional agencies, 1st Staff offers a robust support system for all our educators.

Position Details:
  • Location: Sessions will take place in students' homes, local libraries, or community centers.
  • Role: One-on-One Tutor
  • Hours: 3 hours per day, 5 days a week (during school hours, with flexible start times; additional hours may be available)
  • Planning: Develop and implement individualized learning plans based on each student's unique needs.
  • Relationship Building: Establish a positive rapport with each student.
Required Experience:
  • Experience working with a variety of special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
  • Ability to deliver core subjects tailored to individual learning requirements.
  • Strong behavior management skills.
