Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEO Strategist to join our dynamic team at Hubstaff. As a key member of our content agency, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the SEO strategy for our clients and our website.

Key Responsibilities
  • SEO Content Calendar Management
  • Conduct regular keyword research to identify traffic and revenue growth opportunities.
  • Assign various topics to target based on key metrics.

SEO Website Content Auditing

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of website content to ensure alignment with SEO best practices.
  • Identify pages and queries to quickly rank higher for through content updates, rewriting and internal linking.
  • Ensure all content is optimized for target keywords and user intent.

SEO Competitor Analysis

  • Analyze the competitors' SEO strategy, including their subfolders, the pages they create and the topics they tackle.
  • Set a standard based on competitor content around word count, content quality, and backlinks.
  • Derive recommendations from the strategy of various competitor websites.

Content Strategy

  • Collaborate with the content team to create SEO-friendly content that engages and converts.
  • Analyze content performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Create and implement comprehensive SEO strategies that align with business goals.

On-Page and Off-Page Optimization

  • Optimize website content, meta tags, headers, and images for search engines.
  • Ensure website architecture is optimized for crawling and indexing by search engines.
  • Manage and improve on-page SEO, including site structure, internal linking, and HTML tags.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Use SEO tools and analytics platforms to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Track and report on key SEO metrics, including organic traffic, rankings, and conversions.
  • Provide regular updates and actionable insights to stakeholders.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 3+ years of proven experience as an SEO Strategist or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
  • Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills

We also prefer candidates with:

  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
  • Knowledge of pay-per-click (PPC) advertising and how it integrates with SEO.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their impact on SEO.
  • Certification in Google Analytics or other relevant qualifications.
