Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time - Hybrid working options are available, with an expectation of on-site presence at least three times a week.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Planner, you will play a crucial role within the Nuclear Major Projects team, contributing to a large-scale energy initiative that involves the construction of nuclear-grade reinforced concrete and infrastructure. Initially, you will oversee a project from inception to completion, followed by involvement in additional nuclear projects within our Natural Resources, Nuclear, and Networks business unit. Your expertise in large-scale reinforced concrete construction and change management in the NEC contract framework will be essential.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Leading the planning efforts for an NEC Option C contract aimed at constructing a reinforced concrete frame building.
- Developing programmes for acceptance, impact assessments, weekly forecasts, project control dashboards, reports, and programme narratives.
- Evaluating project metrics, particularly work rates, to ensure that key programme milestones are accurately tracked and represented in project dashboards.
- Assisting the commercial team in generating precise forecasts for project completion based on labor and material resource planning.
Candidate Profile:
This Senior Planner role is ideal for you if you possess:
- Experience in planning within the UK NEC contract framework.
- A strong familiarity with reinforced concrete frame construction techniques and methodologies.
- A background in construction across various engineering projects, with a solid understanding of commercial and contractual aspects.
- The ability to take ownership and contribute to planning, programming, and risk management from tendering through to project completion.
