Purpose

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Pilgrim's Europe, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. Working from our Shared Service Centre in Rushmere Craigavon, you will be responsible for various tasks related to billing, disputes, credit reviews, and AR processing.

The role is specifically focused on customer cash, collections, and maintaining a high-volume ledger with high efficiency. You will have excellent problem-solving and time management skills, work well independently or as part of the team, and ensure deliverables and deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Adhere to Company credit policy, processes, procedures, and SOX requirements
  2. Receipt and allocation of cash
  3. Maintaining credit control for designated customers
  4. Awareness of Customer Credit limits
  5. Monitoring customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
  6. Communication with customers to resolve outstanding issues and to ensure that cash is collected within payment terms
  7. Escalation of debt issues in accordance with SOP's
  8. Monitoring orders on hold and ensuring billing
  9. Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional team members
  10. Actively assist with resolution of customer dispute
  11. Receive and process customer claims which result from payment deductions and produce daily associated reports
Essential Skills
  • Good Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent professional communication skills – written and verbal
  • Computer Literate, with Microsoft office proficiency, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to priorities work and exercise good time management skills
  • Organized and thorough approach to work
  • Good team worker and communicator
  • 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C or above or equivalent
