Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance & Audit
    • Prepare and manage annual consolidation and preparation of IFRS Group Financial Statements, ensuring compliance with statutory and banking covenant requirements.
    • Coordinate and prepare UK subsidiary accounts in line with FRS 101.
    • Liaise with regional finance teams to ensure adherence to Group accounting policies and IFRS.
    • Coordinate alignment of accounting policies with recently acquired businesses.
    • Oversight of Company Secretary activities for UK companies.
  • Financial Management and Control
    • Coordinate and produce monthly consolidated balance sheet, cashflow, and working capital KPI reports for the Group Board and lead PE Investor.
    • Manage monthly reporting of banking covenant and PE Investor requirements.
    • Manage monthly accounting for Group entities.
    • Prepare Group forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and cash flows for internal use, submission to lead Investor and banks.
  • People Management
    • Line management responsibilities of a growing team based in the UK and overseas.
    • Develop strong relationships with global finance team and support them in maintaining strong controls, accurate reporting, and commercial finance/working capital management.
Requirements, Skills, and Knowledge
  • Experience working in the professional services sector.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA) with at least 8 years' post-qualified experience.
  • Commercially biased to support the CFO/Board in the Group's growth aspirations.
  • IFRS knowledge with strong technical accounting skills, particularly in the context of project accounting/revenue recognition.
  • Experience of international businesses in a multi-currency environment and associated accounting of foreign currencies according to IFRS reporting requirements.
  • Strong background in statutory accounts preparation and audit management.
  • Accounting system (preferably Oracle NetSuite), process design, and implementation experience.
  • Strong financial and accounting leadership skills to communicate with subsidiary operations.
