Lead Fundraiser for Cambridge University Libraries

Cambridge University Libraries is seeking a highly skilled and experienced fundraiser to lead our development efforts. As the new lead fundraiser, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value donor relationships and building new networks and relationships that deliver value to the University and its libraries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to achieve the University's development goals
  • Manage a portfolio of existing donor relationships and build new relationships with senior stakeholders, academics, and library staff
  • Collaborate with senior library staff, academics, and stakeholders to identify and pursue fundraising opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners
  • Work closely with the University's development team to ensure alignment with overall development strategy

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in fundraising, preferably in a higher education or cultural institution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and colleagues
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective fundraising plans
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to track and measure fundraising performance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
