We are seeking a highly skilled Data Compliance Advisor to join our team at Locke and McCloud. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of data subject requests under UK data protection laws, including access and erasure requests, and information requests from external bodies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end data subject requests, ensuring compliance with UK data protection legislation and meeting legal deadlines.
  • Develop and enhance internal documentation and communications around the data subject request process, ensuring clarity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the team on the development and integration of tools involved in the data subject request process, including OneTrust Privacy Rights Automation module and internal platforms.
  • Optimize assessment processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of related documentation.
  • Support the application of organization-wide processes, such as Data Protection by Design and Default, and assist in updating and communicating the organization's data security policy suite.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of data protection and security training, awareness initiatives, and eLearning programmes.
  • Provide well-considered and clear advice on data protection and security-related queries, both internally and externally.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding and practical experience of UK data protection legislation, including UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and PECR.
  • Possession of recognized data protection qualifications, such as UK GDPR Practitioner, CIPP/E, or CIPM.
  • Substantial experience in handling data subject requests under the UK GDPR.
  • Experience working in a team where advising and guiding stakeholders on UK data protection matters is a key focus.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a team to achieve collective goals.
