Job Description:

Hill & Hill Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our client, a leading property developer and contractor in London and the home counties. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing construction programmes and will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing Construction Programme: The Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for drafting and managing construction programmes, agreeing subcontractor programmes, and incorporating them into the overall construction programme. They will also be responsible for recognizing potential delays and implementing measures to keep the programme on track.
  • Managing Design Information: The Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for managing the flow of design information to the site, including hosting regular design coordination meetings with project architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Budget Management: The Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for managing the project budget, including negotiating and awarding work packages to subcontractors and ensuring that the project is delivered within budget.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in residential construction, with a proven track record in managing construction programmes.
  • Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold relevant management and health and safety qualifications.
  • Skills: The successful candidate will have strong communication and leadership skills, as well as strong IT skills.
