About the Role: Group Tax Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Tax Manager to join our dynamic team in London. Reporting directly to the Head of Group Tax, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of ICG's global tax affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee UK and international corporate income tax filings and requirements.
- Develop and maintain the Group's transfer pricing policy, including documentation, implementation, and advising on business impact.
- Provide expert tax advice to the business on expansion strategies, Total Platform partners, and M&A transactions.
- Manage the integration of newly acquired and established entities globally.
- Drive process improvements for compliance activities, enhancing efficiency while maintaining accuracy.
- Lead the development and implementation of Pillar II reporting for the Group.
- Review half-yearly and full-year tax provisions, statutory accounts disclosures, and effective tax rate calculations.
- Monitor global tax developments and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the Head of Tax in managing Group tax risks and governance framework, including SAO, CCO, tax policy, and country-specific initiatives.
- Liaise with HMRC and overseas tax authorities during audits.
Qualifications:
- Qualified CTA or equivalent (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.) with 5+ years of PQE.
- Strong tax accounting skills and technical ability to analyze new legislation.
- Understanding of retail tax issues is beneficial but not essential.
- Proficiency in Alphatax.
- Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with employees at all levels.
- Knowledge of other taxes is beneficial.
- Proactive, ambitious, and possess excellent business partnering skills.
- Ability to articulate complex tax information clearly to non-tax audiences.
