Senior Clinical Fellow-Geriatrics and Frailty Specialist

Job Overview
The Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwife to lead the fetal surveillance and risk assessment team. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for improving the effectiveness of fetal monitoring and intrapartum risk assessments, working closely with the Labour Ward Lead Obstetrician and Maternity Matrons.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will lead on improving the standard of intrapartum risk assessment and effective fetal monitoring, in accordance with the Saving Babies' Lives Care Bundle. This will involve maintaining the Fresh Eyes and intrapartum Cardiotocography (CTG) review processes, improving compliance, and working closely with other leads to ensure delivery against safety metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on improving the standard of intrapartum risk assessment and effective fetal monitoring
- Maintain the Fresh Eyes and intrapartum Cardiotocography (CTG) review processes
- Improve compliance with the Saving Babies' Lives Care Bundle
- Work closely with other leads to ensure delivery against safety metrics

Person Specification
The successful candidate will have:
- Registration as a midwife
- Post-registration experience, including significant recent Labour Ward experience as Band 7
- Leadership skills and experience
