We are seeking qualified Acute Care Practitioners to become integral members of our dedicated team within the Urgent and Emergency Care Directorate at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, self-driven professionals, including NMC/HCPC Registered Nurses, Paramedics, or Physiotherapists, who possess a strong commitment to managing Acute Injuries and Minor Illnesses. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in our integrated Urgent Treatment Care settings.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will operate at an Enhanced level, working alongside a diverse team in the Emergency Department and Urgent Treatment Centre. Responsibilities include:
- Managing undiagnosed patients within a defined scope of practice.
- Delivering specialized, patient-centered care based on evidence-based practices.
- Providing guidance and support to junior staff during shifts.
This role emphasizes clinical excellence and the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of our patients.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential qualifications include:
- NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Paramedic or Physiotherapist.
- Advanced Clinical Assessment Module (Level 6 or 7).
- Minor Injuries and Minor Illness Modules (Level 6 or 7).
- Evidence of current practice portfolio.
Desirable qualifications may include:
- Independent Prescriber certification.
- Experience in safeguarding adults and children.
- Advanced Life Support certifications.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of five years of post-registration experience in Emergency, Urgent, or Acute Care, with at least one year in a senior role.
