Design Manager Job Opportunity
GHA Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the design program, including processes, information flow, BIM, design assurances, and design resource on major projects.
- Represent the company with architects, main contractors, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure that all design deliverables are reviewed to establish they are within budget.
- Manage design risk and mitigate its impact.
- Coordinate with commercial, project, production, and site departments to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in design management, with a strong background in architectural and bespoke steelwork.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and technology.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineer's and architect's drawings.
- Knowledge of current drawing practice and standards related to 3D model build, connections detailing, and fabrication drawings.
- Tekla experience is a plus.
What We Offer:
- Salary up to £70,000+ depending on experience.
