Design Manager

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team at GHA Recruitment Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design management, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the design program, including processes, information flow, BIM, design assurances, and design resource on major projects.
- Represent our client with architects, main contractors, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Strong experience with architectural and bespoke steelwork.
- Ability to read and interpret engineer's and architect's drawings.
- Manage design risk and mitigate it.
- Manage the flow of technical information on the project.
- Ability to produce project-specific designer agreements.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifically metalwork, methods, and technology.
- Strong knowledge of planning techniques, procurement, and value creation.
- Good knowledge of contracts and contract documentation.
- Good knowledge of health, safety, and environment legislation and issues.
- Knowledge of life cycle costs.
- Risk management skills.
