Salary: £90,000-£100,000 p/a + 30% bonus

Location: Chester Area

The AndRecruit Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Operations Engineering Director to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans, overseeing day-to-day operations, and working closely with the CEO to implement the company's vision and strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Improvement: Assess, review, and improve operational processes and procedures in line with company objectives and delivery contracts.
  • Performance Measurement: Implement systems to measure the effectiveness of all company-related processes, internal and external, apply cost-effective measures, and provide timely, accurate, and complete performance data reports on the operating condition of the company.
  • Team Leadership: Provide effective team and project management leadership, including overseeing project completion timelines, monitoring project costs, and ensuring client needs and expectations are met.
  • Health and Safety: Formulate, implement, monitor, and review the company's Health & Safety policy and procedures, including risk assessments.
  • Employee Engagement: Provide leadership to create an environment that motivates people, communicating effectively, and ensuring that they are fully aware of what is expected of them, also to encourage and recognize their efforts.
  • Service Delivery: Liaise with all departments to ensure service delivery is achieved on time, in full, in accordance with budget and quality standards, to fulfill the customers' expectations and with the most effective use of company resources.
  • Compliance: Oversee and ensure that the methods and procedures used comply with ISO 9001 and the company's QMS system. If not, make the case to change the procedures.
  • Technology and Innovation: Keep abreast of technological innovations in related fields and make recommendations of their impact and application to the business.
  • Performance Evaluation: Appraise staff annually, evaluate performance, assess knowledge and skills, deal with, and resolve problems arising.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in an Engineering or Science field, with a Master's degree being an advantage. They will have experience within the Engineering industry, proven experience in climbing the corporate ladder, and strong internal and external stakeholder management skills. A proactive, self-starter who is consultative and adaptable, willing to travel where required.
