Group Finance Risk Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Finance Risk Manager to join our team at pawaTech. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implement a Risk Management Program: Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management program to identify and prevent internal payment fraud and risk.
- Process Improvement and Compliance: Focus on process improvement and adherence to policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of compliance and risk management.
- Regular Reporting and Analysis: Establish a regular reporting cadence to analyze and report on payment activity, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Suspicious Transaction Investigation: Investigate suspicious transactions and identify potential risks to our financial operations.
- Internal Audits and Process Documentation: Conduct internal audits of standard operating procedures, identifying gaps and recommending improvements, and develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive process documentation.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with legal, compliance, and other teams to ensure a coordinated approach to managing financial crime risk.
- Review and Development of Best Practices: Review and ensure the adequacy of KYC documentation and independence in decision-making, and support the development of best practices within the Group finance team to enhance governance and manage risk.
- Process Documentation and Financial Reporting: Facilitate the periodic review and development of Group finance process documentation and financial reporting.
- Education: Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Finance, Law, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in financial crime investigation, forensic accounting, or a similar role.
- Skills: Strong understanding of best practice accounting controls and processes, experience presenting findings to senior management and external auditors, and proficiency in Xero accounting software and automation tools for data analysis.
- Personal Qualities: Proactive mindset, ability to manage multiple priorities and work semi-autonomously, excellent documentation skills, and attention to detail.
