Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Personal Assistant to the secretarial services and clinical staff at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

You will be the first point of contact for communication with consultants, medical staff, and other multi-disciplinary team members.

Liaising with departments, general practitioners, patients, relatives, and visitors to resolve queries as appropriate.

Undertaking office duties as required as part of the multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the clinical support team to ensure delivery of a comprehensive and effective administration service to clinical personnel across the business unit.
  • Undertake the full range of personal assistant duties, including diary management, the creation and maintenance of business and clinical documents, general administration, and dealing with patient enquiries.
  • Provide advice and demonstrate own initiatives or workplace routines to new or less experienced employees within the team.
  • Promote good customer relations and public image of the department.
  • Arrange patients' outpatient appointments using Medway/Careflow and inform patients of appointments by post and telephone.
