About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Personal Assistant to join our team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our clinical support team, you will provide administrative support to our medical staff, ensuring the smooth delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to our medical staff, including diary management, document creation, and general administration.
  • Act as the first point of contact for communication with consultants, medical staff, and other team members.
  • Liaise with departments, general practitioners, patients, relatives, and visitors to resolve queries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Undertake office duties as required, including data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks.
  • Provide advice and guidance to new or less experienced employees within the team.
  • Arrange patients' outpatient appointments using Medway/Careflow and inform patients of appointments by post and telephone.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience of working with the public and in a busy team environment.
  • Competent user of IT systems, including Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of using Medway/PAS.
