Job Summary:
Chestertons International is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Health and Safety to lead our Health and Safety team and drive our company's health and safety strategy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, customers, and contractors across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Health and Safety Strategy: Design and implement a robust health and safety framework and management system (Plan, Do, Check, Act) in accordance with policies and procedures to deliver legislative compliance, industry best practices, and organisational objectives.
- Lead Health and Safety Team: Work with the Director of Compliance and the Operations, Services and Integration Director to introduce, monitor and maintain effective policies and procedures across all entities within the group.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage potential risks and hazards within Chestertons Group.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure corporate compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
- Team Management: Effective management of the Safety Compliance & Licensing team working across the office network and group lettings portfolio.
- Support to Operational Teams: Provide support to the operational teams, particularly Facilities Management, in relation to mechanical and electrical services across the estate as required.
- Environmental Agenda: Lead the Chestertons environmental agenda, particularly in relation to the Chestertons carbon footprint, energy consumption, and waste management.
- Contractor Management: Overseeing Chestertons contractors to ensure they comply with our environmental aspirations and policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and enhance the Health and Safety management plan updating processes, procedures, and systems to drive continuous improvement. Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation to drive a positive health and safety culture across the group.
- Procurement and Supply Chain: In conjunction with Procurement, ensure that Chestertons contractor network meet legislative, health and safety, and Chestertons standards of workmanship and customer service.
