Pensions Calculation Analyst Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pensions Calculation Analyst to join our team at Proactive Appointments. As a Pensions Calculation Analyst, you will be responsible for providing expert analysis and calculation services for defined benefits and defined contribution pension schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain complex pension calculations, including DB and DC schemes
  • Build and test calculation software, including letters, statements, data extracts, and write backs
  • Interpret business requirements and provide solutions to meet client needs
  • Work on a large portfolio of pension schemes, including DB, DC, and hybrid schemes
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their pension scheme requirements and provide tailored solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with pension legislation and regulatory changes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • DB pensions calculation experience is essential
  • Experience of building calculations and working with pension software
  • Pension legislative knowledge and understanding of regulatory changes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Python programming language or other Object-Oriented language
  • Working knowledge of UNIX and SQL is advantageous
