We are excited to present an opportunity within our Infrastructure division for a dedicated Field Technician. SOCOTEC UK Limited stands as the foremost independent provider of construction materials testing services in the UK, executing millions of assessments annually for a diverse clientele.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting rigorous physical evaluations of concrete, soils, aggregates, and bituminous mixtures at various sites and within our facilities. This position demands considerable physical exertion, including the handling of samples weighing up to 20 kilograms, and requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing sampling and testing of construction materials in accordance with UKAS standards
  • Utilizing a variety of testing methodologies
  • Completing test documentation, including necessary calculations
  • Coordinating with Laboratory and Section Managers regarding project timelines
  • Mentoring and developing junior technicians
