Position Overview

Dartmouth Partners is a dynamic and innovative private equity firm focused on developing leading growth enterprises. As an M&A Analyst, you will be instrumental in identifying and executing initial platform investments for our fund. Collaborating closely with senior leadership, you will evaluate opportunities, perform comprehensive due diligence, and facilitate transactions that align with our strategy of establishing multiple growth platforms across various industry sectors.

This role presents a distinctive opportunity to influence the trajectory of our investment portfolio, as you will execute the initial transactions for each new platform investment before transitioning to specialized M&A leadership within the platform.

Core Responsibilities

  • Independently manage day-to-day M&A projects under the guidance of the firm's senior leadership.
  • Assist in the complete transaction process, encompassing deal sourcing, structuring, negotiation, and documentation. Collaborate with legal, financial, and other advisors to ensure seamless transaction execution.
  • Supervise thorough due diligence processes on target firms, coordinating with external advisors as necessary.
  • Prepare investment evaluation and approval documentation for presentation to the investment committee.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and support senior leadership in negotiating terms with prospective acquisitions.
  • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including advisors and other third parties.

Candidate Profile:

  • The ideal candidate will possess ACA qualifications and have proven experience in M&A Lead Advisory, Corporate Development, or Private Equity.
  • Exhibits professionalism and credibility, with the emotional intelligence to engage effectively with owners and management teams of small to medium-sized enterprises.
  • Experience in executing deals within the lower to mid-market segment.
  • Capable of managing a diverse pipeline of transaction opportunities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives, investors, and external advisors.
  • A proactive self-starter, adept at organizing and prioritizing projects and agendas efficiently.
