Financial Controls Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controls Specialist to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our payroll governance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and report on reconciliations and wider controls within Customer Payroll, ensuring they are managed to agreed tolerances and deadlines.
- Deliver the KPI dashboard, reporting on the health of our related accounts, Payroll accuracy, and controls.
- Work closely with the CS Governance, Risk, and Compliance team to reduce risk and ensure accuracy, timely payments, and reporting for annuitant payrolls.
- Support payroll and reconciliation managers with control attestations, keeping records of control failures, risk events, and issues to ensure accuracy in controls and drive future mitigations.
- Coordinate the creation of reconciliation and operational process guides, ensuring clear and up-to-date documentation.
- Manage EUCs and coordinate regular reviews with criticality assessments.
- Ensure reporting on outstanding reconciliations is completed in a timely basis to determine the level of exposure on outstanding items for balance sheet management.
- Embed the principles of Conduct Risk into day-to-day operations to deliver good customer outcomes.
- Knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes, reconciliation management, and how things fit together.
