Field Service Plant Specialist

Are you seeking a new opportunity as a Plant Engineer with a competitive salary starting at £38k plus overtime and standby pay? The position is a Monday to Friday schedule and involves both workshop and field service responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities of the Plant Engineer:

  • Ensure all construction equipment is maintained to the highest standards, including diagnosing issues, servicing, and conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on-site.
  • Perform breakdown repairs on construction machinery.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on various plant equipment, including Diggers, Dumpers, Vogel pavers, Excavators, Paving machines, and Bomag rollers, among others.
  • Manage administrative tasks and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and punctually, including warranty claims.

Path Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading plant hire company that is experiencing continuous growth and is looking to expand its workforce with a skilled Plant Engineer.

The ideal candidate will consistently deliver high-quality work and be a valuable addition to the engineering team. Experience with equipment such as Dumpers, rollers, excavators, dozers, pavers, and traditional heavy plant machinery is preferred. Familiarity with brands like Terex, Bomag, Komatsu, Liebherr, CAT, and JCB is advantageous.

Qualifications for the Plant Engineer Role:

  • Previous experience in roles such as Engineer, Mechanic, Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Fitter, Workshop Plant Fitter, Service Fitter, Service Engineer, Service Technician, Heavy Plant Engineer, or Plant Mechanic.
  • An NVQ in Plant Maintenance or an equivalent qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
