As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Kier Group, you will be instrumental in overseeing and enhancing project expenditures from the initial phase through to completion, guaranteeing optimal value while upholding the utmost standards of quality and compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading cost estimation and commercial oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conducting thorough risk assessments, value management, and cost control activities.
- Negotiating and managing agreements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitoring financial aspects of projects, managing changes, and generating comprehensive financial reports.
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations as well as quality benchmarks.
- Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
You should possess a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline. A strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract law, and industry standards is essential. A proven history in cost estimation, budget oversight, and financial reporting is required. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is also expected.
