We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in supporting our service areas in delivering the Trust's objectives and People Strategy.
Main Responsibilities- Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders and provide senior HR expertise on a range of HR issues, including employee relations, recruitment and retention, attendance, change management, workforce planning, talent management, and policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership for your HR sub-team, focusing on empowerment and engagement, and have previous line management experience.
- Have substantial HR expertise at a senior level within a large, complex organization in a highly unionized environment.
- Establish immediate credibility at all levels and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as creativity in approaching HR solutions.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. We work collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. Our services are provided from three locations:
- The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 438 general and acute beds
- Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 56 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate, and outpatient facility
- Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services serving the local rural population.
We employ over 6258 staff, including temporary bank staff, and provide acute emergency and elective services, primary care direct access services, and obstetric services to a population of approximately 407,000.
Requirements- Working and detailed knowledge of employment legislation, equal opportunities, and best practice, including managing complex cases and exposure to solving employee relations issues.
- Experience of taking the lead on projects, writing reports, and implementing recommendations from these.
- Experience of working with and influencing senior managers.
- Experience of providing strategic and operational support to managers and staff within a large business area or several small business areas.
- Knowledge of Agenda for Change job evaluation.
