Job Summary

New York University is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Academic Affairs Administrator to join our team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of the NYU London academic programme and working closely with faculty and staff to coordinate academic class preparation and administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for academic-related faculty and student enquiries, providing advice and guidance on academic policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the management of student attendance records in line with UKVI and NYU requirements.
  • Support student immigration processes, including CAS issuing, and conducting and processing UKVI 'Right to Study' checks or similar.
  • Assist with the administration of registration and grading each semester.
  • Support the academic-focused visits for visiting staff and faculty from NYU campuses and other global sites.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the programme, particularly in relation to sustainability, affordability, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Requirements
  • Education to degree level or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Strong organisational ability and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and comfort working with both students and faculty.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with little supervision.
  • Flexibility and willingness to occasionally work outside of regular working hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience of working within an educational organization, especially at HE level.
  • Some knowledge and understanding of US Study Abroad or US Higher Education.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting a diverse and welcoming environment.
  • Knowledge of UKVI/Home Office policies, procedures, and systems as it relates to the 'Student route' visa.
