Academic Affairs Coordinator

Job Summary
New York University is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive academic environment. We are seeking an experienced Academic Affairs Administrator to join our team in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of the NYU London academic programme, working closely with faculty and staff to ensure efficient administration.
- Act as the first point of contact for academic-related student enquiries, providing advice and guidance on academic policies and procedures.
- Manage student attendance records, support student immigration processes, and assist with data input related to classes, grading, and student schedules.
- Assist with the administration of registration, grading, and academic records, ensuring compliance with FERPA and data protection regulations.
- Support the maintenance of academic records, room allocations, and bookings, and contribute to the strategic development of the programme.
- Provide ongoing support to faculty with NYU's VLE and other classroom management tools, and assist with the administration of academic accommodations for students.
Requirements
- Education to degree level or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Strong organisational ability, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with students and faculty.
- Understanding of the needs of international students and ability to show cross-cultural awareness.
- Flexibility and willingness to occasionally work outside of regular working hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience of working within an educational organisation, especially at HE level.
- Some knowledge and understanding of US Study Abroad or US Higher Education.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting a diverse and welcoming environment.
- Knowledge of UKVI/Home Office policies, procedures, and systems as it relates to the 'Student route' visa.
