Norse Catering is dedicated to providing exceptional, locally sourced meal options for residents in care facilities, designed with input from our customers to ensure enjoyable dining experiences.
We are thrilled to present an opportunity for a Culinary Specialist to join our team at Cranmer House, a residential care home, working 10.5 hours per week on a two-week schedule:
* Week 1: Wed 07:30-11:00, Thurs 15:00-18:30 & Fri 15:00-18:30
* Week 2: Fri 07:30-18:30, Sat & Sun 07:30-11:00

Key Responsibilities:
As a Culinary Specialist, you will be instrumental in executing the daily catering operations, including stepping in for the Cook Manager when necessary:
  • Preparing, cooking, and serving meals while ensuring the dietary needs of residents are fulfilled
  • Assisting in training the catering team to uphold outstanding customer service
  • Adhering to Health and Safety and food hygiene standards, ensuring compliance at all times
  • Creating appealing meal presentations to encourage healthy eating choices
What We Seek:
We are looking for candidates with prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting, demonstrating an organized approach to tasks, along with a solid understanding of the culinary industry, cost management, and budget adherence.
A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service is essential, and we expect you to showcase strong communication skills with a flexible work attitude.
While familiarity with relevant regulations such as Health and Safety and the Food Safety Act is preferred, comprehensive training will be provided.
