Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Farmfoods in Southampton, Hampshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Shop Manager to maintain a high level of customer service and ensure the smooth operation of the shop.
- Develop and lead a team of Retail Assistants, providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback to ensure they reach their full potential.
- Take ownership of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, ensuring that customers are well looked after, deliveries are processed efficiently, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Drive operational efficiency, controlling costs, and minimizing shrinkage, waste, and payroll.
- Support the Shop Manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.
Requirements:
- A friendly, positive, and hardworking approach to work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Trustworthiness and reliability, as you will be an integral part of a small team.
- Previous experience as a manager, team leader, or supervisor.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary between £28,000 and £32,332.28 per annum, based on a 43-hour contract.
