Position Overview:

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in the proactive service, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of our clients' equipment, including revolving doors and security turnstiles. Your work will ensure that we maintain the highest standards while safeguarding the interests of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to various sites to service and maintain Boon Edam products, both on a scheduled and emergency basis
  • Evaluate and determine the necessary work to be performed, ensuring timely completion
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers while promoting Boon Edam's products and services
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and effective time management
  • Demonstrate technical aptitude, enjoy problem-solving, and adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Complete and submit necessary paperwork in a timely manner

This role is remote, with the expectation that the successful candidate will operate from their respective regional base. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as there may be occasional overnight stays and standby requirements for callouts during weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of health and safety practices
  • Experience as an automatic door engineer or in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Technical proficiency
  • Engineering background is beneficial
  • CSCS card holder is desirable but not essential
  • EN 16005 accreditation is a plus but not required
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills
  • Excellent communication abilities to build customer rapport
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Electro/Mechanical qualifications are desirable but not essential
  • GCSE Maths and English, Grade C or higher
