We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Maintenance Specialist to join our dedicated team in Glasgow and contribute to our ongoing success.
Role Overview:
As a vital member of our skilled engineering team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless operation of our production processes by minimizing downtime through effective fault diagnosis and maintenance of machinery.
Your role will encompass a diverse range of engineering tasks, with a focus on a proactive approach to prevent equipment malfunctions. You will work on various machinery, including intricate hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, executing both planned and reactive maintenance activities on site.
With a commitment of 39 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off rotation, you will enjoy a balanced work-life schedule, with opportunities for overtime to enhance your earning potential.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles
- Completion of an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, achieving NVQ Level 3
- Experience in mechanical assembly, hydraulics, and pneumatics is advantageous
- Familiarity with fabrication and welding processes is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and a keen eye for detail
- Solid understanding of current environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Proven experience in mechanical troubleshooting, defect resolution, and routine maintenance tasks
- Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written
