Aerothermal CATIA Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerothermal CATIA Design Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating development geometry for CFD and parts for wind tunnel and track testing using CATIA v5.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Aerodynamicists to develop and implement aerodynamic design processes.
  • Champion continuous improvement in aerodynamic design processes and coach others in surface design best practice.
  • Ensure timely delivery of tasks while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Develop and maintain strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Apply creative problem-solving skills to optimize geometry within aerodynamic and packaging constraints.
  • Design wind tunnel models and ensure they meet aerodynamic and packaging requirements.
  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of CATIA v5 surfacing experience in motorsport, automotive, or aerospace environments.
